A teacher has been arrested on charges of brutally assaulting her mother-in-law in Gampola.
The Police said the teacher belongs to a leading school in Wallahagoda, Gampola was arrested after a video of the assault was circulated on social media. According to media, the Gampola Police had also had a complaint in this regard.
The Video on social media shows the teacher attacking her mother-in-law with a knife and the woman later falling to the ground after being pushed by the former.
The Police said the injured woman is said to have filed many complaints with the Police over the repeated assault by her daughter-in-law.
