COVID-19 infected man missing in Makola

The 22-year-old, Covid-19 infected man from Sapugaskanda, who had gone missing since last evening(26th Dec), has been traced by the police at a place in Makola North in Sapugaskanda this morning(27th Dec), Police said.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said he was traced following a special operation conducted by the police along with MOH officers and PHIs.

He said the man had been staying with a girl at a residence where her parents had also been staying. He said investigations are being conducted to ascertain whether they had intentionally accommodated the infected man.

The infected man was sent to a treatment center and legal action will be taken against him after the treatment, the DIG said to media.
