The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment said 89 Sri Lankans have died in the middle-east due to COVID-19 infection.
SLBFE Deputy General Manager Mangala Randeniya speaking to media and said that 45,000 Sri Lankan expatriate workers were repatriated to the country, and 32,000 of them are from the middle-east.
Another 48,000 Sri Lankan expatriate workers await repatriation from the middle-east.
