Vaccinate journalists as well. A written request from the Secretary of the Ministry of Mass Media.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information has requested the Secretary to the Ministry of Health to make the COVID -19 immunization vaccine available to journalists as soon as possible.


According to the statement, journalists have been identified as a risk group for the COVID virus as they have to participate in various media coverage activities due to the nature of their duties.

The Secretary has requested that the journalists covering various diplomatic discussions and conferences take their own risks and therefore give priority to the staff as well as the journalists of all the institutions belonging to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information.

Various media organizations and media institutions have also made various requests for journalists to be vaccinated against COVID-19.


Meanwhile, the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information has requested the Secretary to the Ministry of Health to provide this vaccine to the officers of the Postal Service who are doing their utmost to provide the required medicine letters, parcels etc. to the people expeditiously.
