The bond auction case is set for March 18.

The Colombo Permanent High Court has ordered that the case filed by the Attorney General against ten suspects in connection with the controversial Central Bank bond auction in 2015 be heard on March 18.

The Attorney General has filed the case against ten suspects, including former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran, who were accused of “fraudulently misappropriating Treasury bonds and causing a loss of over Rs. 688 million to the government.”

The case was taken up today (19th Feb) before a three-judge bench comprising Champa Janaki Rajaratne, Damith Thotawatte and Namal Balalle.
