Peliyagoda fish market reopens in accordance with health guidelines

Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda instructed the officials to take steps to reopen the Peliyagoda fish market for trading activities from midnight tomorrow(16th Dec), a statement from his office said yesterday(14th Dec).   

He said trading activities would be carried out in accordance with health guidelines given by the Health Ministry. An identity card will be issued to all the traders when entering the fish market. Their arrivals and departures will be documented. Firstly, the market will be open for wholesale trading activities. Later it will be opened for retail fish trading; further he said.
