Parliament to identify MP Hakeem’s close contacts through CCTV footage

Parliament officials are currently analyzing CCTV footage of the parliament to identify close contacts of MP Rauff Hakeem, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier today(10th Jan).

According to a parliament official, MP Hakeem had took part in the Parliament session on 5th January .

“I have tested positive for COVID-19 today and will be entered into a quarantine facility. I request those who came into contact with me in the last 10 days to take necessary health and safety precautions.” MP Rauff Hakeem tweeted earlier today(10th Jan).

Rauff Hakeem is the 2nd MP to test positive for COVID this week. Earlier minister Dayasiri Jayasekara was tested positive and is currently in a quarantine facility.
