Shihab al-Mujajir, the new leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant-Khorasan (ISILK), a global terrorist group, is leading operations in India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. According to a report by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the situation is dire.
There are reportedly 1,000-2,200 ISILK fighters across several provinces in Afghanistan.Shihab al-Muhajir, who was announced as the new leader of the terrorist group in June 2020, has been the co-ordinator of ISIL operations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Central Asia. The Hindu reports that the report of the US Secretary of State states that he was taken away.
