A couple has died in the Siripura area in Bogawantalawa after contracting the coronavirus. The husband is reported to have died yesterday (16th of May), 03 days after the death of his wife.
The mother of three had died after being admitted to the Bogawantalawa District Hospital on the 13th of May. The deceased has been identified as a 68-year-old woman.
The result of the PCR test conducted on the deceased woman had been received yesterday. The result had ascertained that she had contracted the virus.
The woman’s 76-year-old husband was later reported to have died yesterday. Health authorities have conducted a PCR test on the deceased man. The bodies of the couple have been placed at the Dickoya Base Hospital.
