Five veteran cricketers withdraw from tournament

Many former Sri Lankan players who participated in the Road Saftey World Series 20-20 tournament in India last year with the participation of veteran players have decided not to participate in this year’s tournament.

It is reported that former cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Chaminda Vaas, Upul Chandana and Marvan Atapattu will not be participating in this tournament. It is reported that they have decided to withdraw from the tournament due to personal reasons.

However, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dhammika Prasad, Russell Arnold and Chinthaka Jayasinghe are scheduled to represent Sri Lanka at this year’s Road Saftey World Series 20-20.

The tournament was postponed to March due to the Corona epidemic and organizers are now planning to hold the tournament again.Veterans from India, Sri Lanka, Australia, South Africa and the West Indies will also be taking part in the tournament.

The remaining matches of the Road Saftey World Series 20-20 series, which was held to promote road safety, will be held from March 2 to 21 in Raipur, India
