Dates announced for England test tour 2020

England’s tour of Sri Lanka, which was postponed in March 2020 due to coronavirus pandemic, has been rescheduled for January 2021 in Galle. The rescheduled matches that come after the series last March were postponed as the Covid-19 pandemic took its toll.

Joe Root’s team will depart on a charter flight on January 2 and will quarantine in Hambantota in the south of the island. They will be able to train for five days, from the 5th to the 9th, at the stadium in Hambantota in preparation for the series before traveling to Galle.

The visitors will be subject to quarantine in Hambantota on arrival in Sri Lanka. During that period, the players will able to train for five days from Jan. 5-9 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.
