Less than a week after the news of the beheading of a Sri Lankan girl was reported, a similar atrocity was reported in neighboring India.
A man in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, India, was walking on the road with the head of a girl who was killed yesterday (03rd of March) morning, causing panic among the people on the road.
The man, identified as Sarvesh Kumar, was on his way to the Hardoi police station when he was later arrested. His interrogation revealed that he had killed his 17-year-old daughter and beheaded her.
The father had beheaded his daughter following a dispute over his daughter’s relationship with a man.
During police interrogation, he said he had killed his daughter with a sharp weapon and that the body was in his daughter’s room at home.
Police later arrested the man and a search of the home turned up his daughter’s body.
