So far 9,495 institutions have been inspected under the Operations Act to ensure that proper health guidelines are followed within the institutions.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that legal action has been taken against 1,223 corporate administrators who did not follow proper guidelines.
Meanwhile, 30 persons were arrested yesterday (29th Jan) for not wearing face masks and not keeping distance.
Accordingly, 2,853 persons have been arrested for violating the rules from October 30 to date, the police spokesman added.
