The Kuda-Oya Police have arrested a 33- year-old man according to sexually abusing an underage boy (aged 11 years).
The incident had occurred when the 11-year-old child, his uncle, and the suspect had gone to collect wood at their plantation close to their house. The boy had been sexually abused by the suspect when the two of them had returned home after collecting wood.
The suspect was produced before the Wellawaya Magistrate’s Court yesterday (10th Dec). Further investigations into this incident will take place soon by Kuda-Oya police.
